My favorite is Black Forest Chocolate Cake; it has lots of chocolate with a cherry middle layer that helps cut down on the richness of all that chocolate. A friend of mine actually made one where he added just a touch of espresso to give it just a little more rich, earthy flavor.

I also like ice cream cake. Esp. Baked Alaska, which has a layer of ice-cream on top of a sponge cake. This is then topped with meringue and baked very quickly to brown the meringue without melting the ice-cream. I once had one at a restaurant where they used a chocolate sponge cake, and then drizzled caramel over the top and crushed pecans. Yum!

i love a good moist pound cake..but i like the ooey gooey butter cake...and it has cream cheeses in it so you can't go wrong with that

I like chocolate cake, strawberry, cheese cake (if that even counts as cake), and red velvet isn't too bad. I think chocolate and cheese cake are probably my favorites though.
