I have not heard the government is now open but if it is that is great now maybe I can start  my FHA MORTGAGE LOAN to buy my house because the lady want to sell and I have lived her since my son was eight months old so he was raised here and I want to live the rest of my life here.  My son is now 22 years old and I don't want to move, there's this program  which I qualified for just built me a six thousand dollar ramp I won't qualify for another one I just hope we can get approved and finally own our home.

I say, impeach the whole lot of them.  They definitely have not acted in our interest but in their own self interest.

The federal government is now open and back to business.  However, don't think that is going to change anything in Washington, D.C.  I think this "extension" is up in January so the whole morbid process will start all over again.  It is time to clean house from top to bottom in Washington, D.C.!!!  Vote everyone that is currently in office out at the next election.  One good thing about the next election, our current President is ineligible to run again, unless he changes the rules before then.  Nothing would surprise me, any more.
Have a wonderful day!

Still be careful before doing anything. The government doesnt  have the money to do much of anything.

I was too young to remember or even be aware of the previous shutdown. This time around, I watched it happen on the news from across the pond! Quite interesting to hear your government has shut down when you're on vacation.  :P

Politicians control the country and manipulate everything to suit their power struggles against each other. They no longer care about the country or the people. I didn't think I would ever say something like that about the US but it seems to be true lately.

We need to do some reforms.  In the State of California, no budget - no pay for the reps, until it is done.  I feel like they should all get the same insurance and social security that everyone else gets.  They should not get all the perks for the rest of their lives and also their spouses.    They should NOT get their checks like it was business as usual.   People who were furloughed should not get paid, as if they were on a paid vacation now that it is running again.  All of the domino effect to other business will not be repaid.  AND IF THEY DO PAY THEM WHAT WAS THE POINT?   I hope that people will remember this when the elections come around in their areas.    I think the Republicans and Tea Party people may have done  more harm than good for their causes.

it should have stared with the present and all of his staff not getting paid then the house and senate not with their staff not getting paid  or receve any back pay that way they will stop arguing so much and get thing done.
