Illness
« on: June 19, 2009, 09:05:52 pm »
I just want to apologize to anyone that I've been short with in this forum recently.  My daughter is back in the hospital ( hep c ) and may not make it home this time.  I'm already raising her 10 yr old daughter, have my somewhat senile 88 yr old father to care for in my home and I'm worried about her 1 1/2 yr old son from her second marriage.  I'm just really stressed over my limit.

Thanks so much - it's hard to fathom losing your child at 36 years of age - your children should outlive you. People worry about HIV/AIDS ( I lost a cousin to it ), but Hepatitis can be just as devastating to the body and terminal also.  Don't do drugs !!!

Oh God bless you! It is hard when there is lots of sickness in your family. I have been through my share of sickness with my parents and other close relatives. It seems like it all happens at once. Everyone gets sick at the same time. I hope your family gets better. I will be praying for you and your family.

I have Hep C too and I should be starting my treatments soon. I go for an appointment in July. So hopefully I will be able to still go on this and not loose my hair and everything else the doctor says will happen to me!!!!

Thanks everyone for your prayers and support.  My daughter did make it out of the hospital this time and is doing a little better.  She recognizes everyone and can do basic self care. Meanwhile my father went into the hospital with his heart - he's already had 2 heart attacks.  He goes in and out of a-fib - an irregular heartbeat and has to have medication regulated in the hospital because it is so strong. It has already damaged his kidneys.  He's out now but gradually failing.  He has had a long and exciting life - he was a pilot in WW II and was playing golf up until this last hospitalization ( 9 holes with a golf cart). He can't play now but we have the Golf Channel on TV on 12 hours a day!  My son lives nearby and does help out.
