How open can you be?

Going on an emotional journey does not make you weak or a failure. Once you are open with yourself, the easier it will be to open up with others.

It usually takes me knowing someone for a while and building a relationship where I feel trust before I am more than just casually conversational.  Opening up is sometimes hard for me.

I am not too open with anybody at first.  It takes me a while to finally let my "guard" down and open up!

I think you still have to be a little guarded. In this day and age people read between the lines too much. I would not like to spill it to someone who just wants to use you to get something from you. You have to be careful. Get to know a person before you pour out your soul!

Depends on who you are being open with.

I always believed that its better to be open and honest, and in some situations you will have to be brutally honest.

I think it makes it easier to open with others. Others are quick to judge.

Like some others posted here, it takes me a while to get to know a person and feel comfortable enough to be open with them.  I am and have always been pretty shy.  However, I find the older I get, the less I worry what people think of me.  I can be open if I choose, or, I can be wary and keep it to myself if I have a feeling the person I am communicating with is not trustworthy.

It doesn't matter to me about how open I can be because I believe we all hold back a little, but I would rather just be honest with my feelings or emotions toward any subject. I believe that honesty is the best policy.
