American Bandstand, and the Bob Newheart Show

An old black & white series I used to love in my youth was "The Vise."  It featured a one-armed detective-- I think the actor's name was Donald Wood but am not certain.  What I remember most about it was the animated graphic at the beginning, which was a silhouette of a man between two jagged-edge walls (the vise) that were moving toward him.

Some old TV shows that I watched as a kid: Sanford and Son, Barney Miller, Three's Company, Buck Rogers, Sha Na Na (parents made me watch that), The Muppet Show, Land of the Lost, Chiller Theater (WPIX in NY), The Night Stalker, The Jeffersons, All in the Family, and I Dream of Jeannie.
