Well i don't know where you live but here in N.M. we have need rain for so long and have been so dry it is great too see some. Yes some of our state has been flooded, but if it had not been so dry we would not have had such bad fires that destroyed our forest. Which usually holds back a lot water to keep us from being flooded. So it is a catch 22 . Most of our lakes across the state have been drying up in record time because of the heat and no rain. So we are seeing some relief  there But is is going to take a lot of rain to catch up to what we used to be.

My area is in a drought right now. The weather has been very warm, but a little too warm for my comfort.  We've had a little rain for a short window of time within the last week, but that's not nearly enough.

Go to UTube and listen to Marlene Dietrich sing: "Where all the flowers have gone?". I think the rain came and took them away!

Here in North Florida the weathermen can't seem to get it right. We've just been having dreary days with not a lot of rain( they were forecasting tons). Today was supposed to be sunny, but no way. Not until 5:30 p.m.  :dontknow:

aggie49 sorry to hear about your flowers. Hopefully, your area will dry out soon.

People take rain for granted and in turn i think we become punished with no rain.. Rain is better than no rain.. In texas we were all greatfull when we got rain because we haden't seen it in a while even more one year we got so bad it only rained once or twice the whole year.. And our lakes got so far down that now they are nothing but little puddles (if that) Rain is a precious gift.. I know that somertimes plants can die if they get to much rain.. But its better than your lakes drying out and you have nothing left completly and then you are on water restrictions, People start panicing.. Everything goes haywire.. If i had the perfect day it would be raining.. Rain is essential! And plants need rain.  :P

We had a lot of rain there for a while. I'm in Colorado so they've been dealing with the floods north of me. Fortunately the worse we've had it was that our backyard and patio got flooded. And our flowers are actually still thriving.

We had a rainy spring and summer, but it's been nice the last week or two. Mostly sunny, and fairly warm for the fall.

It just started to rain here today.  We have not had much rain here in Southern Missouri.  I hope we have a fall before going right into winter which technically doesn't start until December 21st but sometimes it comes early.

I live in central Texas where it has been extremely dry for a longer period of time.  And today we finally got a 3 inch rain which was a very welcome sight.  But we still need a lot more to break the drought.
