School is out. What are your summer plans & vacation destinations?

Now that summer is on it's way, what is going on in your life... gardens, swimming, vacation, summer camps, need a break from the children already?

Not really too much with the economy the way it is. Signed my 8 year old up for baseball camp this summer. Will probably check out the county fair and hopefully go to Jimmy Buffett in August.

The Columbus Zoo opened up a brand new water park and an amusement park last year. We live 10 minutes away and have season passes, If I do nothing else with my son but take him there a few times a week, he will be very happy.

We do not have an official vacation planned, but will camp and visit the Islands up on Lake Erie a few times.  During 4th of July weekend we scan the local papers and see how many fireworks displays we can see.

My son's school planted an organic garden right before school let out. It is a summer long community project we are participating in. Once school begins again in the fall, many garden projects have been incorporated into their curriculum. This is the first year. It will be interesting to see how it all goes. We have learned so much already.

i'm going to school this summer, and i won't get out until august 3rd. i have 3 weeks in between the end of the semester and the beginning of Fall. so my summer doesn't hold much lol...school and working when i can. that pretty much takes up all the time i have.

Summer School!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good Luck to you all. It is such an accomplishment when you get to walk across that stage. My pictures from that moment were  hilarious. I never saw my face look like that in any other picture. I was just beaming in a way I did not even realize at the time.  Still makes me smile to think about it?

So what are your majors?

My kids are doing summer school this year, they just have to work on math a bit. They are going to compete in a couple of races and we want to go camping.

I took a road trip to Florida and back last month. Saw the Saint Louis Zoo, and we went through Nashville and Atlanta on the way. We went to Epcot Park and Hollywood Studios and all the other Disney parks, and I finally saw the NASA launch facility in Cape Canaveral (nerd)....I always wanted to (nerd). And I finally saw the ocean as well. It was really cool.
Except now, I have NO IDEA what I'm doing for the rest of the summer.
