goodbye summer; hello fall

:crybaby2: My favorite season comes to an end. Fall is in. I am not a big fan of fall. I rake too many leaves in front and in the back of my house. It's too much work.

Here in Texas, by now -  we are ever so grateful for the end of summer - hot, hot weather we will not miss, nor the high humidity that makes the summer pretty miserable. Guess it could have been worse this year - but still don't think any one I know will miss the heat - at all!

I love the fall.  Finally and end to oppressive heat and humidity.  It's great to have the windows open at night.  The trees become so pretty and the air so cool and clean.

I much prefer the moderate temperatures of Spring/Fall to the extreme ones of Summer/Winter!

My favorite season is fall! Summer is good but, normally too hot where I live. Actually it is still in the 80's but, cool at night which is nice. Normally in Virginia on the eastern seaboard we really don't see fall until mid October or later. I am already seeing the Leaves fall so maybe this year fall with come in earlier.

It definitely doesn't feel like the end of summer! We're still suffering from summer-like weather, with temps in the 90s and high humidity bringing the heat index to over 100! I actually like fall the best, tho. As QueenOfNines said, I like the moderate temperatures better than the extremes of summer and winter. But what tips the balance for me is that fall seems to have more things going on than the spring... Renaissance Festival, state fair, Oktoberfest, Halloween, and Thanksgiving each require a weekend to celebrate. Plus it's football season!

I'm with you jcalexis! I am sorry to see summer go out too, even though it was pretty hot and humid sometimes. But I can see the fun in fall too, what with the pretty colored leaves and all even if you do have to rake them. It is also a lot easier to run in the fall with the cooler weather and I like to run for exercise.

I like fall - the beautiful colors and cooler temperatures.  However, here in Florida, fall is still hot and rainy = ugh :'(
