I was also raised in the City, a suburb of NYC, Queens NY. I prefer the country and live rural now. I guess when I was young about 15 I was a Explorer - sought of a senior Boy Scout and went camping alot. I love it and never left me but, the City life did.!

I think I would get bored if I lived too far away from a city...

I live in the city - well technically the suburbs. But give me the country ...any day!
Just don't want to have to commute back and forth from city to country every day.
Driving time in  my neck of woods is horrible on a good day while living in the city...can't image having to go from country to city everyday!  :BangHead:
But one day I do hope to end up living  the country life!

Living in the country isn't for everyone but Ilike it. There is always something to do and quieter than living in the city although I only live about a mile out of town lol.

I have lived in the suburbs all my life. It is the best of both worlds.

No big cities for me because there is too much pollution. Small cities are OK because they are manageable. I prefer the country: Fresh air, nature and simplicity.

I was raised in the country and loved every bit of it... I could do so many things that most of my friends would have never thought of doing, we had four wheelers and animals like horses, cattle and some ducks and chicks.  I only hope to raise my children in that kind of life!

I prefer the city to the country for the most part because it's closer to the places I need to go. Plus if you'rre in a place where you require propane rather than gas/electric heating the bills can become overwhelming to pay depending on the prices of the propane and the size of your living area. However I don't mind visiting the country, because it can be peaceful and quiet. However if I really had a choice of city, suburb and country I'd choose the suburbs, because where I live they are nicer, while still being near places we need and not nearly having as much hustle and bustle as our city.
