We use a fan only when it gets hot. Once we install our air conditioner we find we get so used to it that we HAVE to have it, even when on cooler days. This can get expensive for no real good reason, so we just stick to the fan to avoid that whole problem.

Both!!!  I do use the ac, but my ac doesn't work incredibly well.  So I also use fans to go with it...especially when I am trying to fall asleep.

85-100 degrees we use AC... Anything around 70-80 we use a fan

I normally have my Central A/C running in the summer time and have overhead fans running to circulate the air. The overhead fans seem to keep it cool especially when it is very Humid. I normally keep the A/C at 76 degrees and that keeps it cool enough for us even if it is in the 90's outside.

We use the air conditioner. We just turn it on when it gets too hot to leave the windows open and turn it off once it's cooled down the house and we know the night air will be cool. No point in leaving it on all night and wasting money on ac when it's cool then, unless it's still pretty hot and/or humid at night,

We have a fan, but we rarely use it, unless the ac isn't working.

Mostly the AC.  Most of the summer it stays hot even at night.

I use a AC. But didn't have a need to use it too much this summer on account there was not to many hot days.
