Yes, I have had numerous bad sunburns.  (not needing medical attention, but bad)  Anymore, no matter what I am doing or how much fun I am having and if I do not have sun protection, I am in the shade period.  It is not worth it!

The medical attention comes later in the form of skin cancer treatments.

Oh be careful I did that and it was so severe I couldn't move for 3 days. You know what really helps Aloe vera but put it in the fridge when it is cold and you put it on the sunburn it feels great. also tylenol for pain. But remember if it is blistering and horrible go to the doctors cause it could be sun poisoning and the doctor needs to give you medication. Oh and stay hydrated

I had a really bad sunburn when I was in junior high.  It was the last day of school and we spent all day outside.  By the end of summer you could still tell!  The only thing that had it feel better was to put ice on it.  And then when it started to heal, the itching was almost unbearable.

Don't get upset when you do something stupid like getting sunburned and then think you're exempt from the consequenses like pain right away, later skin cancer or melanoma ( much worse and more deadly ).  NO you are not special.  No one is.

Anyone remember the skit they did on Saturday Night Live (or was it Madtv?) about the Debbie downer lady or whatever they called her....and that noise (music?) they made when she would say something negative? This made me think of that.  ( I may be the only person that knows what I'm talking about or understands this post....lol)

I have found that the best thing for a sunburn is Benaydrl Gel.  It sucks on poisy ivy or oak but it works wonders on a sunburn.  You don't peel as bad when you use he Gel either.

 noxzema is the greatest thing for immediate relief of the burn, but make sure you use a good lotion so you don't peel and wrinkle.
