I'm a very nervous driver, so I could never. Texting while driving is illegal here. And super dangerous, to boot. Why is that text worth others safety? It's kind of sad that some people think it's okay.

People really shouldn't be talking on their phone, either. I can't tell you how many times I've some idiot almost get into an accident (with myself or another driver) because they were chatting away on their phone, not really paying attention while driving. They're cutting corners and stopping late and swerving across double solid lines.

I don't know how many of you are MythBusters fans, but they did a series of experiments in which they concluded that talking on a cell phone while driving is comparative to driving drunk (drivers were inebriated just below the limit in the test, for obvious legal reasons.)

I talk on the phone only with the headset on or speakers connected to the car.

Last time I texted while driving, I scratched my car against a pole. So never again for that part.

I never text while driving because I hate texting. I don't use text message much because I use email and I also prefer talking in person. I don't talk on the phone while driving much because it isn't safe. If I need to take the call I try to find a place to pull over or try to make the call later when I can stop.

I will talk while driving sometimes or check a text really quick if I am completely stopped at a light but not when in motion.

I put my old basic phone on speaker if it rings.  It is usually something important.  I answer and hang up quickly.  I don't want to be distracted.

I do talk on the phone while driving, mostly because my car has bluetooth and I figure that if I have people in the car with me, I'm doing the same thing and my hands are free, so I don't find it bothersome to do that.  However, I do not text and drive.  Taking your hands off the wheel and trying to do multiple things with your hands is what causes problems, in my opinion.

No. I ignore it till I can pull over to use the phone. I was always taught that if the vehicle is moving than my eyes should be on the road.

Absolutely not.
Every thing can wait when I drive especially live in this place where has so many weird drivers around.
