I'm also sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved pet.  I've never grieved as deeply as I do when I have to "let go" of a dog.  I really bond with my pets and I count on them for affection and unconditional love.

I know some people refuse to have a pet after they experience that kind of pain; however, I feel that the good out weighs the heart ache so it doesn't usually take long for me to fall in love with another four legged critter.
