Summer goes out with a bang...

What are you doing for the last vacay/activity of the summer?  School is about to start and everyone seems to be squeezing in the last of vacations.  We ran over to an amusement park so the kids could enjoy the rides.  What are your plans before summer is over?

I have been trying to get to a water park all summer but every time I try it rains.

August here in Tn, and it is cloudy and overcast everyday and the temps are in high 70's weird weather for us.

Well I just had my last real vacation for the summer. I go on an all girls camping trip each year to get away from it all. This year we found a great spot that was free next to a lake with beautiful blue green water, fairly close to home and pretty warm. Met a lot of fun people and drank a bunch.  We will have to go camping there again.

We would like to get down to the ocean to get some chowder and clam cakes. I would also like to spend a day in Newport, RI. I hope we're able to fit both of those things in.

I am looking forward to a cruise to Canada in September.  I know this is after the summer, but that's the point.  I hope to enjoy less heat and summer hecticness.  I look forward to cooler temperatures, although it's been cool here this week.  I also understand the show of changing leaves will be spectacular.  Hope so.

I can't believe summer is almost over and school is starting soon.  There were so many things we were going to do this summer, and go so many paces, but somehow summer got away from us and we didn't do 1/2 of what we panned!  Oh well, there's always next year!
