I may be the sole remaining FC member to lack a Facebook account, but I do not have one and do not want one.  Now I cannot be rewarded for viewing most of the videos because I must "like" the video in order to be credited.  Even members who use Facebook may not want to encumber their accounts with all these "likes" to things that have nothing to do with their friends or customary reasons for using social media.  Data aggregators are able to track users' "likes", whch is unwelcome if you cringe at the thought of business knowing all your personal information and everything you do on Facebook.  FC, please restore the ability to skip the "like" step to ALL videos.

actually you're not

but this isn't a problem for me

the only video that shows up for me is the shick quattro video and the skip button is always at the bottom.

FC doesn't have any control over whether there's an option to "skip" the Facebook like. It's all controlled by the advertiser.

Facebook phobic?  Nah.  There are still a few people who don't want their entire life and everything they do to be posted online.

I agree.  I am not on facebook nor do I want to be so I miss out on offers where you have to "like" on facebook.  There should be an option to skip.

Yeah but a lot of companies are doing that.  Also if you ever do the free samples thing a lot of companies are only doing it thru facebook nowadays.  I have heard it has to do with advertising and being able to get more information about consumers.  People don't realize how much privacy they freely give up.  And I have done it too.  Now, when somebody asks for a phone number for me to make a purchase I either say I don't have one or give them the local weather number. lol  If you have to have my phone number in order for me to make a cash purchase then you may not need to make the sale. lol.  I try not to get hateful with the cashier tho.  She is just doing a job.  Doing what she was told to do.  And if they don't ask they will get yelled at.

It's probably true that the advertiser controls whether or not to add the "skip step".  And FC is not going to be willing to pay unless the advertiser pays them.  But I had noticed that rather suddenly this option ceased to be available on any of the videos carried by FC, which, now that we are compelled to earn 5 cents before we can do Paid to Click, it is a pain not to be able to rely on those especially if there there don't happen to be any surveys that give you a penny if you don't qualify.

I also agree with the comment about the phone number.  This is a way of getting around any Do Not Call restrictions you may have, the company can claim that you have an "existing relationship" if you gave them your number.  If you purchase something I can kind of understand it because there may be requirements by the shipping company, that sometimes happens, or questions about your order or whatever.  But when signing up for Groupon and the like requires a phone number, I either decide I can live without it or use a phone number I had twenty years ago (or just make one up).

Many people clearly don't understand the consequences of putting so much personal information online and how easy it is for strangers to access it.

I think only once has a video asked me for a Facebook like to get credit. So there are plenty of chances to get credit for videos without being on Facebook.

I'm all for the skip step option too! I don't like Facebook but would like to get credit for watching the video advertisement.

I vote for the skip too, I have face book, but I don't need to add anymore junk to my page, only things I really want. Im not one to like things on my page anyway. But since I started FC, I don't get on Facebook nearly as much, been to busy trying to find ways to make money on here, and other sites too.

Or a least warn beforehand that you need to like a movie on facebook to get credit.
So I can decide to not watch the movie

I whole heartedly agree with you about bringing back the "skip the like" on Facebook.  I guess there are at least two people now who are not on face book.  I don't want to be either.

It usually says "Like XXX (optional)" on one of the top tabs so if it doesn't say that you can assume you have to like it for credit.
