Vacation

Actually going to Ohio with my husband to see friends and family. It should be a nice little vacation.

The only real vacation I had this year is going to Katsucon http://www.katsucon.org/, an anime convention in National Harbor/Oxon Hill, MD. The convention takes place at the *bleep* National Convention Center, and that place is HUGE. I can definitely see it as a tourist destination. On the bottom level they have all these little shops, an indoor garden, and a fountain. Sometimes there are lights in the fountain, and they have a quartet play music while the lights in the fountain dance to them. I always thought that was cool. Besides that, there were lots of panels and concerts to attend. It was the first time I saw voice actor Crispin Freeman. I didn't get to snag his autograph, but I made it in to at least one of his panels and it was nice to watch. In a few days I'll be attending Otakon, www.otakon.com which is a bigger convention in Baltimore, MD. I'm hoping this experience will be even better than the last.

We went to Myrtle Beach back in April for 5 days.......we are planning to go again in September for 7 days!  I can't wait!

I went to charolet, NC in Feb.  and going back there next month.  I was going to LA, California in June but had to work and could not get off work.  Besides my car broke down and my puter crashed and had to buy Laptop.  So maybe will be able to go next year.  Hope everyone has a wonderful day and may God bless each of you and keep you safe.

nowhere its been forever since ive had a vacation

Normally we don't have the extra money for vacation but my mom helped pay for a great honeymoon trip for me and my husband to Kauai for a week in May. Just recently I got a new job lined up for later this month with a huge increase in salary and decent benefits. All my jobs have been part time without benefits and running from job to job to make ends meet. Finally I will be getting over double my current pay and putting my degree to good use. Things are really looking up for me and my husband and this may mean more trips in the future.

We have been doing some day trips. We are going to a Ford car show next week. Then we want to spend a day in Newport, RI. I'd like to take a day and visit a few water falls in the area. Some of this we will probably do in the fall as well as the rest of the summer.
