I’ve tried to listen to another channel but the only one that seems to actually work is the country station. Oh I get music from the other channels but it seems I get more of the RadioLoyalty commerical than I do the music station. The Dance station for example gives one song then its back to the RadioLoyalty commercial. That’s why I say on the country station, which I’m happy because it’s thunder 106.1 which is my favorite country station anyway but still. What gives with the other channels?
I've had a variety of problem running RL on my desktop. Turns out that you need more than 1 gigabyte of working memory (RAM) to have RL work properly. I currently run it on my laptop that has 8 gigabyte memory and it works reasonably well.
I usually use Firefox for just about everything, and then I started having problems on my laptop when I was using Firefox. The captcha would come up, but when I tried to enter it with normal typing speed, several letters were skipped and it required me to go back and slowly type in the corrections. Had the same problem with IE. Finally switched to Chrome and I've been able to listen to RL and type in the captchas when they came up.
I don't recall having a problem with a missing cursor but if your cursor doesn't go missing for anything else, it easily could be that your PC/browser has a problem handling RL.
You can check how much working memory you have by clicking "My Computer" and then clicking "Properties". If you have more than 4 gig ram, you should be okay; if it's less than 2 gig, that may be the reason you have problems -- both with the captcha entry and using the other radio stations.
Experiment with other browsers -- Chrome, if you have it, or are willing to download it.
I assume that you clear your cookies and temps regularly. If you haven't done it recently, do that before anything else. I use CCleaner (free download) instead of the Windows Tool app. Believe it does a better job and clears all of my browser caches in one run.
Are you familiar with the Window Task Manager? Click on Alt/Cont/Del to bring it up. This will also show you how much memory you have on your machine and how much is being used as well as the amt of CPU is being used.
I find the Task Manager to be helpful just to know what processes are running and using cpu's -- particularly if the PC seems to be running slow. (And it 's a life saver when my pc locks up and I need to END the locked up window/application.)
Let me know whether this helps or not. I'll watch for your response.
