If I have time to cook yes I will cook most everything from scratch, when in a hurry I will probably get help from cans and bottles/envelopes for seasoning, sauces etc.  If no time then Hamburger Helper or frozen dinners are the best.

I love to cook from scratch but I sometimes find that I don't have the time, so I have now started making things a head of time and freezing them.  I also have been teaching my son the importance of cooking from scratch and using fresh ingredients.

I love cooking from scratch and this is how most of my food is prepared.  It's healthier and nothing compares to the difference in taste.  Being able to use different seasonings brings out the favor in made from scratch food and it's so good.  :female:

I don't as often as I would like to, but I've been doing more and more so that I can keep away from processed foods.

I would love to cook from scratch more often, but I just don't have the time. I feel pretty accomplished whenever I have enough time in my crazy work schedule to COOK a full-blown meal, even if it started in a box!

Food Network used to have this show called Semi-Homemade that was great, because it showed how to make tasty, interesting meals on a budget without making everything from scratch. I miss that!

I don't cook often, but whenever I do I cook from scratch (i.e. pizza, bread).
Opinion: 1) a view, judgment, or appraisal formed in the mind about a particular matter 2) belief stronger than impression and less strong than positive knowledge
This is the internet, learn to let people have opinions. And don't be so sensitive.  8)

Unfortunately I'm king of the microwave... I like it but my kids are probably a little sick of it!

Depends how late I'm working. I rotate with family, but I am more likely to cook from scratch during the weekend than a weekday. The latter I will do a mix packaged food and/or prepare the day before or just quickly settle for take out.

I used to enjoy cooking from scratch more in the past, but now I must admit I prefer just making whatever is in the box. A lot of times I'm just ready to eat and don't want to wait as long for the meal to be prepared from scratch. But I do still cook from scratch, for instance recently I made some home baked chocolate chip cookies from Martha Stewart's site and they were very good.

I try to as often as possible, it's the best way to know exactly what is in your food.  Besides, pre-package convenience meals have so much sodium and unhealthy fats/oils in them that they aren't worth eating if one values their health.

Baking for Christmas and some simpler dishes like stir fry, but usually use some already prepared ingredients and just "doctor" it up.
