What would you do if your co worker is a back stabber?
« on: July 06, 2013, 09:16:14 pm »
Its kinda depressing and made me upset knowing that my co worker is a back stabber. I consider her as a friend but then I found out that she's a double face. Nice and sweet in front of me but once I turn back, she would stab me. Very frustrating.

you mean that there are coworker out there that are not backstabber? most people are human and tend to climb the corporate ladder on the backs others but sometimes it is just error of judgement so give them a chance to redeem themself

I would do my best to be professional with that co-worker at work and I would avoid that person in my personal life.  We teach people how to treat us and it's important for you to give a loud and clear message that you won't be "friends" with someone who disrespects you.

Have a great day!

I'm sure men do this too but women seem to do it to each other more and it makes me very sad at times. Be grateful that you found out this person wasn't your friend as soon as you did.

It's unfortunate, but you've got to keep co-workers at a professional but cordial distance.

I had one of those too.  But, for the most part, I got on with my life; she was terminated.  Since you know that, I have a suggestion; don't get too close to her.  Avoid her like she is a case of the plague.  My ex co-worker thought she was getting me in trouble; she went to a potential co-worker (she was being transferred to our office) and told her of the transfer.  The woman got upset.  My supervisor, thinking I had said something to her, went off on me, and I told him I said nothing.  My ex co-worker was the only one that left for lunch and had the time to do it.  It was collaborated by the potential co-worker one day during lunch.  It ended up that I was telling the truth.

I would approach the offender in a gentle manner and try determine the cause of the behavior.  If she has some problem with you, iron it out.  If she is just being mean-spirited, she might quit doing it if your confront her.  People like this are not usually that courageous. Since you can't run over her in the parking lot, I'd just keep my distance, do my job, and be my normal pleasant self.

Worked with a few of those. But everything i worked on had a small signature some where on the paperwork and if i got called into the office because of something i was able to always cyma. But i also have a sister who is a great bckstabber. And it really hurts. I raised her, did a lot for her. But now it is too the point that i am not going to do anymore because of her attitude.
she seems to think all the family should bend over backwards for her and then gripes if more is not done. She also likes to tell untruths or twists them to her favore. I just give up.

The best thing you can do is stay away from people like that. Now you know how she is there's no reason for you to discuss anything of importance with her. ME personnally wouldn't talk to her about anything..

All of coworkers are back stabbers. It is pathetic. If you get sucked in, then sadly I offer this advice: Get dirt on them. You can bet they are gathering it on you so have a little on them as well. Try not to get involved with them any more than you have to.
