Give him childrens tylenol to ease the pain....give him cool teething rings, and even a cold wet washrag to chew on....and orajel, lots of orajel. Every parent goes through this, as does every child...you wouldnt be able to sleep very well if you had teeth coming in too...it doesn't feel good. Once they are in, he will be fine.

Not a mother, but the Hyland's Homeopathic Teething tablets worked quite well for my son.

The tylenol helps too, if only to make him sleepy so that he can fall asleep easier.  But during the day, the Hyland's tablets worked.

ok, I can totally help you with this.  I went through this with 4 of my own and my sister's 5.  Take GOOD (not imitation) vanilla extract, put some on your finger, and rub it on the swollen gums.  It works almost immediately.  I never had to use tylenol, probably saved a small fortune.  It last a while, and they don't seem to mind the flavor. Can be used as needed.  GOOD LUCK

If you have a mesh feeder put a frozen banana in it. The cold will soothe them and the treat will distract them.

well i never realy had a great problem with my son wen he was teething but from time to time i would give him the ambusal for teething babies , it nums the gum for a while. You dont have to give it to him when he is awake just gv him things to chew on. and after u bath him to go to bed put it on his teeth to make him relaxed and fall asleep easier. good luck

I always gave my kids the tylenol. I never really had the big problems that I have heard from other parents. I hope the baby th at is coming isn't so bad. I heard some bad stories. All I ever had was a little whiney during that time of cutting. I would try the numbing stuff though that others have suggested.
