That's easy, it's an hour or two to the beach for me.

I am not sure where you live so I probably won't be too helpful in directing you to someplace within five hours of where you live unless you live near me in Colorado.  From where I am you can go golfing at the prettiest hotel in the world (the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs), skiing at Arapahoe basin, climbing Mountains (Vail is my favorite), camping at the Dunes (which rival the Sahara in height), go panning for Gold in Idaho Springs, white water rafting in Buena Vista, Gambling in Black Hawk, catch three different professional sports teams in downtown Denver, and go parachuting in Loveland...this is just to name a few!

It's only an hour to the beach for me also and about 3 to 4 hours to the mountains. So we usually have a good choice in places to go.

The couch is a pretty sweet spot. Very relaxing and not a huge travel distance. It's got a really nice view of the television and never gets old.

Dollywood is a great place to travel to.  I love Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.

I live in middle Tennessee and Look out Mountain in Chattanooga, Tn is just a couple hours from here.  And the Smokey mountains is just 5 hours from here.  Hope everyone has a wonderful day and may God bless each of you and keep you safe.

I live in East Tennessee. The Great Smokey Mountains is about a half hour drive. Asheville, NC is about 2 hour drive. Then there is Atlanta, Georgia which is around a 4 hour drive but Tennessee has so many different places that is really nice to see. Last year we stayed home for vacation and just went to places nearby. Like Fort Loudon Dam where they also have a park and fort. So if you look in the right places you can find areas close to home without having to spend a fortune. Have a blessed day.

From where I live, the Grand Canyon is just 3-4 hours away.  The only way I can explain seeing the Grand Canyon for the first time to someone who has never been there is this:  it looks like the world's biggest oil painting.  It's so surreal, it's phenomenal!

Next.. Las Vegas, NV - perhaps a little more than 5 hours (but not by much if it is).
