When I was a kid, my mom used to make sweet potato fries as a change from the regular fries. My sister and I would eat them almost as fast as she could make them!

I've tried McCains brand, and the store brand. They're both pretty good for processed.

You could always try making your own from real sweet potatoes. That's even better!  :D

I have tried them and don't really care for them.  I prefer my sweet potato baked with butter and brown sugar.

I tried sweet potatoes fries and like them a lot. I prefer to have them alone as a snack so I can enjoy the taste.

I like them deep fried, but then i like sweet potatoes any way you can fix them. Sweet potatoe pie is better then pumpkin and i also use them to make pumpking bread also. And they are good for you too.

My husband went to the store and picked up a pack of sweet potato fries by mistake.  I cooked them and did not care much for them.  I have a reason; I am used to having sweet potatoes baked, like my late grandmother did with the peeling on them.  I ate them with butter after I sliced the potato in the middle.  My husband is a fan of yams (sweet potatoes cooked on top of the stove).  He likes to eat them with fried pork chops.  To me, sweet potato fries don't have much of a taste to them. ??? :o

They are yummy.  They are good with powder sugar sprinkled on them too.

Yam fries are pretty good. I actually like them. They’re already naturally sweet so ketchup is not necessary. I don’t really consume much fried starch, but I have sampled a little of it to know they’re good compared to French fries.

Totally love them, I found the frozen kind already seasoned & you just nuke it & you got it! Using the toaster over is good too. I recommend oerida's. It's not the sweet potato, it usually the way it's cooked that is the key.

Sweet potato fries can be pretty awesome, but not all fries are created equal.  Apparently there are variations in the recipes (or the cooks) which make a vast difference in the way they taste.  One restaurant with especially good SPFs dusted them with sugar and cinnamon...yum!  Others I have eaten were not as "dessert-y" but still were very tasty, and others were not good at all.  SPFs are more nutritious than regular French fries.
