i almost had a coronary when i found out my marriage licence is going to cost 93.00 dollars wow plus i have to go to a class to learne how to be a good wife this is crazy i know how to be a wife

That sounds just about right. It is getting more and more expensive year after year. That is nothing compared to getting a commercial driver's license(CDL). It is beyond the normal amount and it varies among states. By the time you are done with testings both skill and written, you will end up with almost $200. I have never heard of that part, " to become a good wife" added as part of a marriage license. LOL good luck!

Wow I never heard of that but I guess it's because they want to keep the divorce rate down.  Because now days it is harder to get a divorce than it is to get married.  sorry to here that but if you have to do all that for love, it will and better work.  Does he have to go to class to be a good husband?  That is only fair

Wow!  I would possibly understand it if you were taking the big plunge for the first time, but $93 plus classes on how to be a wife?  I am like aggie49; I know how to be a wife.  I live in Mississippi, and our license only cost $22.  My daughter and her husband paid $63 because they got married in Alabama and had no blood tests.  Aggie49 said her fiance has to take classes too.  That sounds like a good idea.  Some men feel that, because they got married, that gives them the right to still act like they did before they were married; we women are supposed to take it.  My husband actually told me he was grown, and I asked him, "What do I look like to you?  Chopped chicken livers?"  That shut him up.

What state do you live in?  I know they're increasing the cost here to close to $100 from $60.  Just another way for Uncle Sam to make money...
