At first, I thought Conan would have trouble filling Jay's shoes but he is doing very good.  He will be just fine.

They use to do a comedy bit after the monologue, then have a guest, then do another comedy bit, then have the last two guests.

But now they're using the same format that Leno always used where they do all the comedy bits at the first of the show and spend the rest of the time with the guests... this kinda upsets me lol.

... I dig having the bits spaced out because sometimes the guests aren't all that great and it's nice to have that extra comedy bit thrown in mid show to look forward too.

I noticed this and I agree.  I'm finding myself not watching when the guests come on.  Sure, the interviews can be funny sometimes, but most of the time I'm just waiting for the next bit.

Tonight features Eddie Murphy, Angela Kinsey, and Bonnie Raitt with Taj Mahal.

Still watching, man. Missed Fridays episode unfortunately. Luckily Hulu exist's though, so I'm good haha.

One thing I noticed that's bothering me a LITTLE BIT.

*sigh* show's still cool though.

Something's telling me that they're following that format to see if it retains any of the Leno crowd. Seems like there's a lot of hostility towards Conan, so I guess they figure if they follow Leno's format they'll keep people satisfied.

Friday's episode was good, Chickenfoot was REALLY good.

I noticed a lot of Conana hostility too while on the Tonight Shows site the other day (I was rewatching the opening intro of the first episode). I found that VERY odd, you usually hear nothing but good things about Conan lol. I guess the messages were mostly from bitter Leno fans (apparently he had some, who knew).

That's what surprises me. Jay's maintained a ton of loyal fans through the years. I used to find him funny but in his later years just slowly started declining. He'll be back in the Fall so I'm not sure why people are upset.

I miss Jay.  I never watched Conan.  I can't get into to watching him now that he is on the Tonight Show.  I love Craig Furgason.  He is the only late night show I watch now.

Meh, I thought he was going to fail with all the expectations Jay left him, but I guess he is pretty funny... <---------- I mean his writers are. :P

Conan used to be a writer for SNL and The Simpsons for years, so I think he could hold his own. But there is no doubt he has excellent writers

I love it I think it is the best one to watch. I have caught every episode since it came on and even have my dvr set to record each one just in case. It is the funniest late night comedy I have seen in quite awhile. When David duchovany came on it was so funny. I liked conan before but now he is funnier to me and after every episode I can't wait for another I am addicted
