I spend quite a bit of my "free time" on the internet, either for entertainment or for making money (like on here).  It also keeps me from going out and spending money instead.  So I don't really feel that it is a waste of my time.

this generation is completely LOST w/out these things! Which is why I don't mind when the power goes out. It forces you to put these things down!!!

I have read told that studies show a correlation between the amount of the internet spent on internet and depression.
I have been told that I need to limited the use of the internet. I don't see how. I need to be on to teach English, look for another job in addition to teaching, and connect with friends and family through Skype and the internet.

I don't they think they can put you in a 72 hour hold you for spending time much on the internet.

You’re not the only one. There are plenty of people just like yourself. The internet especially can easily occupy most of your time.

Yes! I am a slave of the internet! My Air Mac just died on me & now I'm on my Iphone 24/7 getting my stuff done. Also had to resort to visiting my parents so I can borrow their PC. It so sad, when the electricity goes off I feel sick like a drug addict that was denied my usual fix! Is there such a thing as (SttIA) Slave to the Internet Annoymous support groups?

I could easily spent all night playing video games or surfing the web. I've been there, done that, then had to go to work.

Yes, I do have to admit there are times when I know I have spent way too much time on the computer and/or internet.  But I don't let it bother me too much.  The other stuff (house work, etc.) will generally still be there when I get around to doing it.  Besides, I have a lot of "lost time" when I didn't get to play on the computer to make up for!

I am on the Internet 7 days a week.  Trying to get my online business in place where I can make an income.
