I have heard and participated in a number of sessions. There is a group option available in my workplace that assist on building up confidence in speaking in front of people. I'm still a little nervous when in large crowds, but at least I'm a little more confident than before.

I have!  My mom was required to attend and participate in the meetings, through her job.  As a kid back then, I always had to go with her because of no sitter.  I was intrigued with what went on at the meetings, along with the stop light colors, for helping them to stay within the timed speeches, and learning how to open, share, and end the speeches.

One night, the one in charge asked my mom and I if I would like to try a speech.  I was terribly shy, but really wanted to do one.  The first time, I was so nervous!  The next time I was invited to share again, I did much better.  It was so neat to be included in their meetings, and letting me speak once a month, was educational, interesting, and laid a great foundation of learning/knowing how to speak in front of people.

It helped me in college, and standing in front of crowds, and also helped me as a teacher, too.  I never hear much about Toastmasters now.  Do you go to the meetings and take part?  I'm glad you posted this!  :)

That's a big plus!  I'm glad it's helped with your confidence in front of the large crowds!
