My favorite portrayers of Batman were George Clooney and Michael Keaton.

I grew up with the campy Adam West version, but I like the more serious Batman too.  Just depends on if I'm in the mood for a comedy or drama.

I will still watch the original Batman TV series, but the movies are more serious and depict what a super hero should be, serious and to the point.

The old ones were totally different in that their main purpose, I believe, was to target children.  They did offer some laughs and were very campy.

However, with so many different actors playing the different roles in the movies, I would say that in the movies, I liked Jack Nicholson as the joker but I also liked Heath Ledger as well.
