Bought my first laptop on Friday June 14.

I am so happy now that I bought my very first laptop computer.  I searched on BEST BUY online and they had the computer I wanted for the right price that fit within my budget.  The laptop I bought is an ACERC7/GOOGLE CHROME. This laptop had everything I needed without buying additional software.  The computer was for $199.99 AND the HP OFFICEJET 4620 was originally $99.00 but with their promotion I saved $40.00 on the printer. And I also got the black ink and color bundle  too. For less than $400.00.  I only paid $323.00 for everything,which I think was a awesome deal.

       Good for you! I have an Acer too because it is light weight and I can take it me everywhere I go.

I love Best Buy and you usually can get great deals there. Enjoy your new laptop. I know when I got my first laptop it was just great to be able to move around with it unlike my desktop. Enjoy it !!

Congrats on your new laptop.  I had the same sort of feeling when I bought my first laptop.  It's one of those special moments when you finally purchase something you want with your own money and it's over a certain amount.

I have had a laptop for awhile..got rid of the tower pc while ago. My new toy is a tablet, just recently got Galaxy tab 10.1

Congratulations! I've been a laptop user for years and don't really ever want to go back to a desktop again. I've got my laptop set up with mouse, keyboard and external monitor, so it "feels" like a desktop, but I'm always able to take it with me when I go visiting family.

Wow, sounds like you got a deal. I remember when I bought my laptop. We had a desktop, but I needed something portable for a job I was doing at the time. I thought it was the neatest thing to go to a site, plug in and access the Internet. I did have some issues with the battery after I left it unplugged for about a year when I wasn't working. I had to replace it, and now it has been upgraded to Windows 7. I am still using it and I have had it since 2008. I bought it on Ebay. I am thankful that I still have a machine that I can use in todays technology. It outdates your equipment too fast.

I like being able to do Fusioncash while I watch TV at night, so a laptop is handy. We have four of them and I have two desktops, one with dual monitors so I guess you could say we are computer nerds.

What's the memory on it?  Can't be much since it was so cheap!

Not sound like a really tremendous by items bought a new computer in January. It cost me about $300 just for the computer. With Windows 8 which does the most weird things I've ever seen for computer. Sometimes it will zoom in and out and frees up for no apparent reasons to me. Then I have to stop and remove everything and try and get things size back down to normal so I can use the computer again.

Mine is getting old.
I'm thinking of switching to a MAC lapptop, but not sure if I should yet.
I'll think about it once I get the money for a new laptop.
