I don't understand why people won't eat it.  It would be cool and healthy!  Maybe different (in season) fruit or a different presentation (dish) would help.  A vegetable tray might be another idea.

It's not that no one eats it, but like out of the 50 people there, like 5 eat it and 4 of the people are my family.  I don't get why they don't seem to eat it either cause I love fruit but it just doesn't seem to be a big hit so I'm trying to find something that maybe will get noticed during the party.

Generally, a few neighbors supply grills, and others bring tables and chairs. Assign food detail: burgers, franks, appetizers, salads, desserts. Collect money for drinks, condiments, paper goods, ice, and rented equipment.

Instead of a fruit salad which I'm guessing is a standard with mixed fruit and whipped cream may try getting a watermelon, cut in half, scope out the inside into little *bleep* or chunks then replace into the watermelon bowl with other fruits, such as strawberries, cantaloupe, blackberries and other summer fruits. You could even have some yogurt fruit dip on the side.

We make the lil smokies in the crockpot with grape jelly and bbq sauce and they get eaten right up. I think anything that's a quiclk finger food would go over well.

potato salad, pasta salad, potato chips and dip, a sandwich tray, cupcakes, baked beans, the list goes on and on, think about what you like to eat there.

Anytime I get invited somewhere for a block party, bbq, potluck, WHATEVER, I always bring a couple bags of chips. They always get eaten.

I'd suggest some sort of finger food- people are more likely to eat finger foods because they can still socialize
Possibly chicken wings? Those are always a favorite!!

Can I ask this?  What a block party?  This is my first time heard about this.
