If you use credit cards you should seriously consider paying off the entire amount each month.  Borrowing money on any level will cost you when you carry a balance even for those credit cards/companies offering the best rates.  If you can make sacrifices early in the game and limit debt, you will reap the rewards later.

If you are asking this question, I think it would be wise just to stay away from credit cards. If you can't pay the balance, it's not worth having them.

I have a credit card but its only for emergency purposes.  I wouldn't recommend getting on unless you really need it or unless its for emergencies.....They are no good.....if you do get one.....get one that doesn't charge you an annual fee or doesn't cost you anything unless you use it.....Also if you use it...pay off the whole balance every month or you are just asking for trouble......best thought is stay away from credit cards.

I don't think any credit card has a "good rate".   If you use one ,,,,   only put on it what you can pay off before the bill is due !!!!!  Pay it all off   0-balance  :D

That will give you good credit,,,, and you know how good these days it is to have good credit !!

I use one that gives me rewards for using it,,,,  and when I charge on it,,,,  as soon as that charge posts i go and pay it off. I never carry a balance on that card.

Always been that way and I taught my kids to be that way also
