Our house is selling!

Happy to say, after a year on the market, 2 people came to see our home Sat. now both are submitting offers as I write! Amazing!

so happy for you--do you already have a new home ?? my friend put her house on the market and sold it within a week and didnt have a place to go --after moving in with her sister for a month they finally found a patio home --i am so happy for her that she has a new home--

We ended up having 2 great offers and countered at highest and best offer....one came in and is good, we'll see what the other is! =D

We have a signed contract for what we hoped for and we close Aug. 1st!

Congratulations! It's incredible how the market has changed. Two years ago we put our house up with the help of a Realtor. There was basically no interest and after 9 months we took the house off the market. Now at the start of summer we put our house for sale by ourselves with a little help from Craigslist and in less than a month we had multiple showings and just this week we got a full offer on the house. In the one month we were selling it ourselves we had triple the success of the realtor company.
It is such a good feeling to know we are finally rid of this house and the hassle of trying to sell it.

So without trying to hijack your tread, Congrats on selling!

Congrats!!  Thats great!  The housing market isn't too good around where we live; there are so many houses for sale all over town that if you want to sell a house you better be prepared to practically give it away.  I'd like to sell ours but there are so many just in our neighborhood that its scary!  Friends of ours just listed theirs up the street from us and they have it listed 25,000 below what I would have thought it was worth.  Our house is bigger by quite a bit and we have an inground pool so I sure wouldn't want to give it away like they are trying to do.  But, everybodys circumstances are different so who am I to say they are not doing what is right for them.  Guess we'll just hold on to ours and hope the market comes back around here.
