Any weight watchers?
« on: May 23, 2013, 03:50:39 am »
I just started weight watchers again as of yesterday.  It is the only diet I have used that I really lost weight.  So far so good.  I ate a lot of fresh fruits and veggies yesterday so I seemed to be full all day.  It's when I have to cook a meal after work or plan what to eat on busy days that I run into trouble.  Please share your tips and recipes for quick meal plans.

Good luck!  You will do great if you stick to the program.  I joined 2 years ago and lost 40 pounds, but more important have kept it off!  It's a good program and allows you to eat "real food".  I go to the meetings once a week and are still learning new things.  What I do, and my leader knows this, is I stick 100% to Weight Watchers Monday to Friday, but on Saturday and Sunday I go off it and eat whatever and as much as I want.  That seems to work for me, gives me a chance to enjoy weekends and I don't get bored with the program. Good luck, I know you will do great and please keep us updated to your progress!

I have joined weight watchers a couple of times and have always been able to lose weight.  The only problem is when I go off the program I gain back the weight.  I have all the printed materials from the last time I joined and I really need to sit down and go over the program again and try to do it myself.  I quit the last time because I was under a lot of stress and started gaining weight.  It costs too much to go to meetings and gain weight, so I'm going to try to do it myself.

I don't like plans to lose weight because when you quit the plan, the weight comes back.
You have to make a life style change.  Eat in moderation  + add physical activity = Weight Loss.
For some people it is a matter of self discipline.

I use a form of weight watchers.... which is good because I have been eating some of the same food. But
just in moderation! This along with a nightly walk is working well!

some of the women in my family are on it and just the monitoring of what they're eating has helped them drop noticeable weight in weeks, good luck to you

Well even though I know how to eat right and know that I should exercise Weight Watchers helps you track and keeps you accountable so I'm going to stick to the course for a while to get the initial weight off.  I realize an entire lifestyle change is in order too in order to keep the weight off.
