Tornados
« on: May 21, 2013, 05:20:12 am »
We are having quite an active May, weather wise. Last week we had devasting tornados in Texas, the worst being Granbury. But this Monday, the Oklahoma town of Moore was completely destroyed in some parts. The worst being the children at school who drown when the pipes broke in the facility. There were over 100 people found in the debris overnight. I am sure we sill hear some horrifying details of what happened from victims. My prayers go out to all the victims of these storms. Keep an eye to the sky as my husband says.

It seems to me that the weather continues to exhibit more instability all the time.  I viewed a TV program a couple of years ago which expressed the theory that since earth's moon is gradually moving away from us, its gravitational pull is declining every year and results in declining stability of our weather.

What a tragedy!! Those poor kids at school must have been so frightened.  We should all remember everyone in Oklahoma in our prayers.

My husband and I live in Oklahoma City, and he is a campus police officer at a nearby college. After a request for all available Law Enforcement to assist, my husband went to Moore to help out today. He was placed on a Strike team in the heaviest hit area of Moore. The things he have saw today broke his heart beyond belief. He am still trying to process everything. He met some people with heartbreaking stories as well as stories of heroism. The thing that sticks out the most was everyone's will to go on. These people are amazing, and make us proud to be Oklahomans.
He told me that today was most certainly his hardest day as a Police Officer.
Thank you to everyone who has donated food, water, and everything else, as my husband can tell you first hand it is greatly appreciated and needed.

Terrible what nature can do! I don't think I would want to rebuild right there.

It's amazing how the weather changes.  One minutes it can be so pretty outside then the next it could be really nasty.  We have been blessed not to get any really bad weather where I live.

Such a tragedy, yet they always rebuild. Here today gone tomorrow. Its only material items. Lives that are lost the Lord will comfort those loved ones left behind. We can't answer why something happens, just trust in the Lord to make it through each and every passing day. :angel11:

The severe storms of the past few days have been beyond my comprehension. I can not imagine what these folks are going through. My heart goes out to them. I am sorry for all their loss and tragedy. I couldn't hold back the tears being that I am a mother of 1 and I can not imagine what those parents were feeling, but I do know how I would feel if I were in their shoes. May God help each and every one as they work through the grief and rebuilding.
