Do any of you ever write a letter to someone actually be handwriting it and not on the computer or text or email?

Not usually. I have pretty bad handwriting although I did send several handwritten postcards during my vacation a week ago.

I don't think I could anymore! A paragraph by hand is past my endurance level today.

I guess I am old fashioned, I still write only thank you's by hand. I just feel it is a little more personal
Oh course, I have a sore hand and it is hard for me to write so I am slowly converting to all email.

Just at Christmas with a card just asking how everyone is and a little about the family. These are family members that I don't see much so I few words I think is nice.

This is the age of computer emailing and texting now.

I still write Christmas cards for my family and there is actually someone I correspond to this way overseas. Of course I do this along with e-mails and other things too with the person in question.

If I'm writing a thank you note for something, than I will hand write it.  However, most of my communications are electronic cause I need an instant response or a response asap and don't have time to wait for the letter to get there.

I do not know shorthand. I tried to learn but it is not for me. I dictate handwritten letters or write to my friends in that format. E-mails, using the Internet, are a great invention.

I try to do this every once in a while at least.  For only someone that I may truly care about.  I loved writing as a kid.  And now with all the technology you lose that personal touch of knowing someone took the time to hand write you a letter.  Something special now and days.

I send a lot of handwritten cards.  email and facebook, etc. seem too impersonal still for me.  Old school, I guess.  Plus I think it says you care more if you bother to handwrite it and put in in the mail.  email is too easy, it seems.  But that is what it is coming to.

I wrote my letters by hand before I got a computer.  I have a pretty good handwriting style.  My grandmother had a bad handwriting, but it at least was legible.  I recall getting a letter from a woman who wrote me in German.  I would be darned if I knew what was in it.

For the most part, most of my correspondence is online. I do write to my grandmother and family oversees though.
