I have never been a yard person .. I'm terrible with plants and flowers so I just choose not to do it.

I really do.  I am getting older and find that in the last couple of years it is not as easy as it once was but still love to see what we can make grow.  Ready to put in the garden today if the rain holds off.

I love to work in the yard.  It's the most productive exercise regiment that I know of.  However, it can be dangerous.  I was weed eating yesterday when my foot slipped out from under me and a I fell.  On the way down my arm hit a part of the weedeater and I took a big chunk out of my arm.  Probably should have gone to the ER but I'm going to try to doctor it myself first.  It doesn't hurt but looks nasty.
Have a wonderful day!

I love it especially in the summertime. I love to plant flowers and tend to them and cutesy up the yard with nice patio furniture and turn it into something beautiful. I really enjoy it. :D :D :D

I love working in my yard and take the chance to get out there whenever possible.  The other day we got home, parked the car - I told my husband I'd be right in - that I had to check on my garden.  Well almost an hour later he came out looking for me.  I had gotten involved picking off suckers from the tomato plants and other similar little clean up tasks and the time had flown!  That's what happens whenever I get out there - I forget to come back in, lol.

I love working in the yard too.  My hubby owns a landscaping company and he's been teaching me a lot.  2 of my 3 kids really enjoy it too.  Some of you may remember me talking about moving and having a huge backyard.  A creek runs through it and there's a willow tree...a couple of oak tree's and plenty of space to garden.  Last month our back yard flooded.  You couldn't even see our fire pit.  Last weekend I decided to clean up some of the stuff that had been washed up from it....you could see shards of glass everywhere back there.  As it turns out we found junk...glass, towel bars, burried animals...we're thinking it may have been a city dump.... so much for putting a garden in there...I think even if we tilled the dirt up we'd just keep finding more garbage...so when I say this place is a dump..it's literal.

that sounds awful!  Have you considered container gardening?  That way you can take it with you too if you should move.  There's a lot you can successfully grow in containers - tomatoes, peppers, pot eggplants, herbs of all kind - for example.

I enjoy working with soil and plants. It helps to sooth the mind.

At this point in my life.....absolute necessity!  I wish I could say I did it out of enjoyment, but it's not.  Those never ending weeds....

It really depends on the work and if I'm getting paid for it or not.

I still enjoy my yard work.  Since I sit in front of a computer all day for work, it's refreshing to get outside to do some work in nature.  I just finished planting my first garden and am hoping I'll get something out of it this year.  Mowed my lawn with a new reel mower and really am liking it - cuts much easier than my first one.

I also like picking up new yard toys...er...tools to see which are the easiest ones to work with.  Still like my first buy which was something called Gutter Sense - something to clean the leaves out of your gutters from the ground - soooo worth it and it's fun too (at least to me).

I'm starting to research a water filled roller and rain barrels for next year's toys...er...tools.   ;D
