Three Kidnapped Women Found Alive in Cleveland

I was overjoyed when I read this story.

Tears of joy came to my eyes for these 3 women and their familes ... but also tears of sorrow for what they all have endured over the past 10 years.

So glad these young women were found alive and are able to be reunited with their families. There is so much about this story that is just hard to believe.  How someone could actually get away with holding three people for 10 years against their will in a community where they are surrounded by people and not in some remote area, is hard to imagine.  Their kidnapper is just beyond evil and deserves the harshest punishment possible.

The 6 year old turns out to be Ariel Castro's daughter by Amanda Berry.  The DNA tests were done.  It is sad that that poor girl's life began as being a rape baby.  It gets worse.  Michelle Knight had to deliver the baby and was threatened with being killed herself if the baby died.  That child has been subjected to being imprisoned for 6 years.  It is just too much.  Michelle Knight is upset with her mother and grandmother for not looking for her.  When you are 18 years old, you are looked at as grown, capable of making your own decisions.   She was 20 years old.  If the police had been called, they would have considered her a runaway.  But she turned away her mother and grandmother because of it.  I feel sorry for her; she has been abused mentally, sexually and physically.  My understanding is that she is going through psychological problems because of being held in captivity for nearly 11 years.  The jail is too good for Castro; he should be placed under the jail.

I don't think that holding men accountable for all of the atrocities in the world should be the focus of this story. True, a man was at the head of this debased and sick action and those poor women will never get back a decade of their life. But the world, in general, is filled with sick people. Teachers that sleep with their students, adults that lock kids in closets, parents that treat their children in awful ways, people going to fight in wars that never should have been declared.  I try to look at everything with the glass being half full. In this case the women are living and are able to see another day.  I pray for them to get over the trauma that they have suffered.

i cant believe they were found alive after 10 years. its amazing and alot of prayers were anwered for the familys....

it is amazing that no neighborhood realize for decade ....good part is that they were survive.

It's amazing that they survived for so long. The man who rescued them is a hero in the truest sense of the word.

What a horrible situation, I cannot imagine having to live life like that for that long. This is why you cannot let "men" just bully people around, it cannot certainly lead to stuff like this.

My heart is so thankful that these three women got out of that house of horrors alive and can try to get back something that resembles their lives before this happened.  Here in Iowa we are going through a terrible time too. This crazy guy just kidnapped 2 girls from out in front of their school and took them to a different place. One of the girls managed to escape and go for help but now the police cant find the other girl.  The guy who took the girls must have realized that the one girl got out and soon the police were going to come so he took the one girl he still had and did something with her and them he himself took the cowards way out.  He hung himself.  There is a statewide search for this missing girl but I think the other shame here is that this crazy guy should have been in prison still...you see he was convicted years ago of kidnapping two girls and trying to strangle a baby and then threw her in a dumpster.  He got 18 to life for that crime but was given time off for good behavior.  He NEVER should have been out of prison.  This country's justice system is soo bad I almost am ashamed to say I'm American.  I mean how right is it that someone who gets arrested for marijuana gets 30 years and does every day, but the crazy kidnapper gets 18-life and gets out early for good behavior...AND THEN DOES IT AGAIN. Everyone here in Iowa is hoping for the best but it's going on 1 week now looking for this sweet little girl and each day it gets harder to keep hope alive.  Please if anyone lives in Iowa and knows anything please let your local police dept. know it too!!!!!!

That really terrible, hope that the world will have more good news than bad news.  Cannot imagine that they still found them after all that years.
