Why is the comic always related to divorce?
« on: May 01, 2013, 04:07:46 pm »
So I have been doing the daily paid to click and I have been looking at the comics on there. Almost all of the time it is related to divorces. I actually found one offensive where the kid is sitting on a porch talking about how the father didn't pay child support. You know there are actually kids suffering due to dead beat dads who do not pay child support. I can't believe that people actually think it is funny.

I don't think they're funny, but they don't offend me wither.  I think that maybe they're just snagging them from the same place daily to make it easy on themselves

It takes a lot for a cartoon to make me laugh. At most, I might think they are clever.  I do appreciate a new twist on an old subject that is clever.  I like to read the comics.  I HAVE noticed lately that there are a lot of selections about divorce. I guess whether they are funny or not is all in the perspective of the viewer!

Yeah, I've seen a few that were funny but I disliked the one where the kid was on the porch. I understand making it easier for them to show the comic related to the same subject always. At least we get a comic and not something boring.

I think it is funny, that is why it is call comic, don't take it too serious.

The site that they've been coming from, Dan's Cartoons, has had divorce cartoons all week. They aren't always about the same topic. If they do offend you then you don't have to click on the comic section to participate in the paid to click

There have been an awful lot of them lately. Is the divorce rate that high that it needs to be put in a comic? Come August I'll be married 22 years and we are still going strong just like my parents, brother, cousins and aunt.

Those comics are pretty awful. There's also a lot about the dentist too. I've been skipping them lately and checking out other topics.

I noticed the same thing.  Since joining, I have read the comics so I could get a good laugh to start the day, but not sure these are all that funny.  Since I am not a divorcee, don't relate to them to well.  But I get paid just the same.

For awhile it about religion, now I have noticed it is about lawyers or divorce. I like the comics and the history one is good also.

I had not noticed that there were so many about divorce. Although the comic you were talking about isn't really in good taste, it definitely wouldn't offend me.
