How do you put your kids to bed?

August is coming up so quickly and my daughter is about to start school. One thing we have problems with is getting her to go to sleep on time.  I let her play outside and get good and tired with activities during the day, with a nice warm bath in the evening time, but even if she wakes up early in the morning, she still wants to stay up. Anyone have suggestions??

When we had little ones, we had them on a schedule. getting them to bed was not a task because we trained them early. However, now we have grands; different ball game all together.

We have a night routine. She is only allowed tv/video games if she has done all her homework, etc.

Reading must be done by 8:30 and then she has 30 minutes to do what she wants. Then brush teeth and bed.
