Calling All Pet Parents

I thought it would be fun to show off our family members which are not human.

This is my lobster Valtrex who is no longer with me.  I named him Valtrex after the tablets because they are blue. I'm a certified pharmacy tech.



My cat Apollo who passed in 2008 at age 8 after almost a 2 year battle with a rare salivary gland cancer.



Here's Triton who is 12 years old.  He's been with me since he was 3 months old.



Here's Orion my Javanese troublemaker.  He will be 6 on May 4th.

I love your lobster!

We just re-homed our snakes.  Currently, we have three cats.  Our cats are named Osiris, El-ahrairah (we call him Little Man), and Verschrankung (Vera or Weevie for short).

This first photo is of my darling Bigwig.  He passed away over a year ago.  He exuded rainbow.






Next, is Osiris - he is like  a lumberjack that wants to be dainty.




Here is our Little Man:




And my daughter holding Weevie.  This little girl is the great-grand daughter of Bigwig.  Bigwig was Turkish Angora.  She is a Turkish Angora mix.

Wow, got a couple serious cat folks here! Lol Cool lobster though, where did you get it?
I don't have photos available for posting, but currently I have 3 dogs. The smallest one I've had for a little over 7 years and we got her when she was about 6-8 weeks. Next is the biggest one, we've had her for 5 years and about 3 1/2 months. She's a rescue and was already about 1-2 years old when we got her. Last is the in-betweener (size-wise), he's also a rescue and we've had him for 1 year and about 3 1/2 months. He was only about 1 year old when we got him. All three are mixed breeds.  I've had many dogs throughout my life. I've never really had cats of my own, but I've had birds and fish. I had a couple turtles, and once when I was a little kid I had a horned lizard.

Here is some info about Blue Lobsters -- from wiki:

An estimated one in 2 million lobsters are blue.[15] A genetic mutation causes a blue lobster to produce an excessive amount of a particular protein.[16] The protein and a red carotenoid molecule known as astaxanthin combine to form a blue complex known as crustacyanin, giving the lobster its blue color.[17] In 2009 a blue lobster was caught in New Hampshire;[18] in 2011, two blue lobsters were caught in Canada, one off of Prince Edward Island,[19] and another in the Esgenoôpetitj First Nation territory in New Brunswick;[19] another was caught in May 2012 off Nova Scotia.[20]

Cats are great creatues and make wonderful pets.  I had dogs growing up and again in my early 20's and than got my first pet cat almost 5 years ago at the age of 26.

Some people can say their dog people or cat people and say they don't like the other that much, but in an all honest assessment cats are much better pets than dogs they have so much personality and show more selective well thought love than dogs.

everyones pets are so beautiful!! i have three dogs --Demon --rotty/shepherd mix he is 1 year 5 months then there is Katie Sue she is beagle/shepherd mix she is about 6 years old she is my foster baby who has cancer so we just kept her (cause we love her so much) whatever time she has left i want it to be happy --then we just got Khloe she is a pitbull and is will be 4 months on the 20th of May--i love all my fur babies --i dont have pictures to post at this time--but think this is a great post!!!

    Thank you for the blue lobster I never knew they excisted.  I have a large dog and will try to post him once I find a photo.

awwww I love everybodys pet babies! they are all beautiful!
I have 2 doggies. A girl pitbull and a boy Sharpei. They are both the sweetest.

Those are adorable dogs!  I have had the pleasure of being around a few sweet pitbulls.  They were big ol' hams for attention.

such beautiful pets!!!!!! I don't have one to load but my profile photo is my cat Tiger.  He's nine years old as of last month...we found him when he was probably 3 weeks old, mom abandoned him in our lawn so we bottle fed him til he was old enough to eat real food.  He's currently 13 lbs and thinks he rules the roost!
