Try taking apple cider vinegar. It helps with sinus pain.

I use ginger tea with honey and a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar.
If you make it kind of strong, with fresh ginger, it helps.
Also, you can try a sinus rinse, and steam.

Hope you feel better..  :)

Don't know of any home remedies.  I usually end up going to the doctor and getting an antibiotic.

honestly the best home method i have found is to put some salt into water and boil it once it is good and hot remove it from the stove and hang your head over the pot usually with a towel over my head to keep in the steam.  This helps loosen up the sinus passage and relive the pressure from the sinus infection.  i have done this with plain water before but for some reason the salt seems to help more.  I am a big believer in home remedies and rarely go to the doctor.

Careful of food allergies.  I developed a food allergy to cheese and that gave me sinus and ear infections each year.  Do an elimination diet and see what food bring on a condition that you have.

I agree about the neti pot.  I've never used one, but I've heard good things.  If my sinuses get any worse, I'll be trying it too.

In addition to a saline spray and steam I always drink lots of fluids.

Of course I live in the worst area of the country for sinus issues and allergies....so I have tried about everything....when nothing OTC works...I tend to fall back on STEAM....a pan of water on the stove to boil and breathe it in...a hot wet wash cloth over my forehead and eyes and nose...both seem to help.  Good luck

Allergies are really bad this year due to the high pollen count.  I just try to stay indoors and take allergy meds during the high pollen days.
