do you eat your heavy main meal at midday?
I switched to doing it that way and feel better, not "heavy" in the evening.

No, I eat by biggest meal in the evening. I'm at work midday, so a heavy, carefully prepared lunch really not an option.  :dontknow:

Dinner time is definitely the main meal.

I'm going to try and switch to that. How is it working for you? Is it difficult? Do you snack in the evening?

We have been eating our main meal at 3 p.m. because my boyfriend has been on nightshift and his schedule is all messed up.  Hopefully, he will go back to daylight soon and we will go back to an evening meal.  I often eat a light meal late because I don't like feeling too full either.

Yes, we eat our heavier meal at mid-day - starting doing that a couple of months back because my brother and I cook and since our dad passed away, our mother comes over to eat then she just snacks during the afternoon and evening. And as you said, we all feel better since starting to eat this way.

I have a heavy breakfast, a light lunch and a lighter dinner. That way I burn all my calories before bedtime.

I know that it's best to not have it in the evening, but that's when I do.  The time just works best for everyone to be able to prepare and eat it.

I don't like my main meal at midday because then I am tired and lethargic all afternoon.  All I want to do is take a nap; impossible where I work (more impossible than in most places.)  If I don't eat a substantial meal in the evening I tend to wake up hungry during the night--also something I don't like.

Because of our schedules we typically eat our biggest meal pretty late in the evening....once we are BOTH finally home at the same time.
If we are both working opposite schedules, and I work pretty late, I will have my big meal mid=day when I have my break between shifts

I eat a larger meal in the evening.  I take a sandwich, etc. to work.  It's too expensive to eat out for lunch regularly.  After working all day, I look forward to a full hot meal with veggies, meat, side dish salad etc.   Today, I ate at a buffet for lunch and I was bloated, full and sleepy all afternoon at work.  I really did not over do it, but I did eat a fair amount.  When I came home at dinner time I did not have much of an appetite at all.  I like to come home with an appetite to enjoy a nice dinner.

Since I have to pack lunch, my heaviest meal is dinner, but I do try to eat before 7pm.

I usually eat heavy for lunch and sometimes breakfast. I find that eating light in the evening make for a better night sleep.

I have been so used to eating my main meal at evening, I guess I never thought about changing.
