I just don't understand about flower from a funeral, they are putting all this emotion in this. It seem that this is coming from your childhood, which is neither right of wrong. We grow up  and never think about thing for ourselves. Flower are just flower we use for differ occasion. Enjoy the flower, it is no longer a funeral flower, it has become your home plant. Talk to the plant welcome it to your home. This flower have a soul. water it and tell the plant thanks for cleaning the air in my environment, please forgive me, I did not know any better, I am only going by what I was taught. I honor you, I love  you please forgive me, I am sorry. When I cut my plants, I ask them May cut you and I thank them.
I hope your home get peace love and Harmony in it..................... :dontknow: :angel12:

I see it done after funerals a lot.  If the plant is live, it makes no sense to leave it when you can grow it.  If the plants are plastic, you can leave them at the gravesite. ???

I have never heard of that before. They usually leave all the flowers at the cemetery.

I like the idea it seems a good way to remember the person but if it bothers you then you should get rid of it.

To be honest, I'm not sure why you wouldn't bring them home with you. If you leave them at the funeral home, the funeral director is likely just going throw them away. People send flowers to the family as a way to express their condolences. Nothing wrong with keeping flowers that were sent to you in the first place.

I have been to many funerals and every family brings ALL the flowers and arrangements back to there homes or they bring them to other people grave sites.

I don't think there's anything wrong with it, unless it does make you uncomfortable, then that's not good. Perhaps the flowers can be taken to the graveside then or given away to someone you know who might like them
