I enjoy camping, but I've only gone in a tent.  I'd love to go in an RV and be able to enjoy nature during the day and still be comfortable at night.

I am not quite sure, because I have only been camping once. It wasn't bad, at night on the beach, but in the morning, our tent was facing the sunrise, and we fried in that little tent. We ended up getting a hotel room immediately!! LOL! :crybaby2: :crybaby2:

I was offered to go on several camping trips.  I almost went on one in the Washington State mountains.  I backed down and declined the invitation.  I declined the invitation because I was told that I would have to look out for the moose.  Since, I had never seen a live moose before, I thought it was a small creature.  Well, when I went to one of  Washington State's museum and saw a stuffed moose, I saw that the moose was massive and larger than my automobile.  Also, when I heard that a moose could out run and topple my car, even while it was moving, I decided that camping may not be for me.

I love camping when I was little.  I would like to take my children camping, but they do not want to stay outside.

cowgirl2116 - I actually went as far as seriously considering making camping a lifestyle.  I traveled across the country scoping out Campgrounds that had year round service.  Stayed the night at them and scoped the area's out for work and schools for my children.  I would be living in an RV full time.  I am still in awe over the concept and often touch base with the thought.  The idea of having everything at my fingertips and activities for my kids to do all the time really entices me.  I can picture it..wake up...get the kids to school...work out, hit the shower than spend the day at my laptop or doing the grocery shopping...kids come home, make dinner...they are busy...visit with friends, camp fires...The only thing keeping me from making my dream a reality was a judge...she wouldn't let me leave the state with my kids.  Since I live in Illinois Full-time camping isn't a possibility.  Probably a good thing for now...I wouldn't know how to deal with all 3 kids home sick from school in such tight quarters.

I love to camp in a tent but I need an air mattress.  We take all kinds of good food and grill out.

I used to love backpacking and camping.  Now if I went camping it would be in an RV with air conditioning, satellite TV, and a ceiling fan.
Sad, isn't it?

You call that camping??!!  LOL.

We see a lot of people in the campgrounds with their RV's set up just like you said bremer51!  I don't think they ever step foot out of the RV.
