Do you like to paint?
« on: April 23, 2013, 07:51:33 am »
Do you enjoy painting your house, furniture, etc?  Most people I know hate painting.  I like painting, just don't like the preparation and cleanup.  Anyone in my category?

I love painting, but I also sell art, so it goes without saying.  I don't like painting walls, so much, but I love doing furniture, door decorations and re-purposing anything!  I painted some old wooden kitchen utensils into puppets for my son.  They are cute!

I like painting, both interior painting like walls and furniture, and also decorative and craft painting. I'm not really into artist type painting, though. And I'm not real fond of exterior painting.

I hate painting walls, etc, but I do love painting pictures--I like to use oil paints on canvas.

I am in your category.  Painting a room gives it new fresh look....the hardest part is the prep!

I don't mind a little painting, but I hate to do ceilings.

Funny you should ask.  I am sitting in room we have made into the office/library in our house.  It was painted by a teenager - turquoise with a white cloud overlay thing.  We moved here four years ago with plans to re paint every room.  Got the two bathrooms and one bedroom done and then decided I....really, really don't like to paint.  So, that and the fact that I would have to move about 5 tons of books made me decide that if I can stack the books high enough, I don't need to paint. But, my husband won't do the bookshelves till I paint.  Oh, well, it is spring and now the garden takes over my life.

No not really!  I would like to paint on canvas like my daughter does but I never have time.

I like paintings. I have quite a few. My friend is an amazing artist and I usually find a photo I really like and have her paint it for me on canvas to hang in my condo. The only painting I do is painting walls when needed, haha.

I do hate the prep work too, but it is an important step.  I don't really like it though.  Too much work.  haha

I like the painting but hate the getting-ready-to-paint and I really hate the clean-up.

I grew up painting and doing all sorts of crafty stuff like that.  My dad was a good painter in his day.  I guess I got that talent from him.  I don't do it so much anymore but I'm very happy to say that my daughter is in a arts high school now.  She's great at it.
