my nephew writes poetry.
I remember, when I was in the city of Chicago, having a chance to participate in a poetry reading.

Poetry is always cool....I was never imaginative enough to do that kind of thing but the wife and I enjoy going to a reading every now and again...You should encourage him to keep doing that.

I really enjoy writing poetry.  At first I wrote Haiku and found that the discipline of having to keep to a certain number of syllables really helped me focus. Then I started writing regular poetry as a means of self therapy.  It's funny what comes out of your pen when you're just free associating or trying to get in touch with stuff.  I actually started a poetry blog and continue to post to it. Sorry can't put the link here - not allowed.

Poetry is beautiful. You can describe so much with poetry, reflect your emotions on paper.

Most poetry is so beautiful. I used to write poetry but then found I prefer to read it instead. Haiku I tried to write and just could not get it, though many of it is pretty. And yes you can say what's in your heart....sometimes without even knowing you are doing it.

My daughter has wrote poetry for years.  She has a book of poems that describe all her feeling over the years.  She will not let anyone read them. She has written me a couple for Mothers Day so I know they are amazing.

If you are broken up with your girlfriend and are looking to get back with her, then don't underestimate the power of poems about getting back together.

I used to write poetry. I was even published at one point from a site online that I submitted my poem to. I like to write about how I feel and try to put it in a more creative form like poems

I started writing poetry in high school.  One of my English teachers asked me once if I had copied a poem from somewhere.  I still like to write occasionally.  Maybe we should all write something for this forum?????

An Ode to Fusion Cash

Stop a moment, take the time
Say hello and make a rhyme

share your finds both bad and good
watch a video, you know you should

complete your tasks every day
and if you're lucky, do a survey.

read the posts, leave 30, then -
collect 3 bucks and start again.

whoever you are you'll be happy to know
that cents become dollars wherever you go.

Poetry is like making up silly rhymes.  Does anyone remember making up rhymes to remember things in high school?  Never worked for me. LOL Well maybe it did I graduated.  Just makes me mad I did not remember them to help my children.
God Bless
