I m sorry to hear you have been unsuccessful! It is very hard today to find a good lying job unless you know someone!! Good luck and hopefully you will find something very soon!!
I think you hit the nail on the head. I have been trying to let everyone I know that I am looking so that maybe somebody will think of me when a job is mentioned. I also hang out on a lot of forums where jobs might be mentioned. I don't bother looking in the paper. I search online every day and have applied for probably 40 jobs in the last two weeks. So far, I got one offer. It was from Kelly to work from home taking calls, but the pay was $9.15 per hour and I had to go through 4 weeks of training and then they would tell me what my shift and days were going to be. I would have taken it if it allowed me to work 2 jobs, but with no way to know what they schedule would be I might take myself out of the running for other jobs. How can you accept a job if you don't know the hours. I mean, actually I would do that, but not for $9.15 an hour.
Anyone who pays rent, or has a house and a car and eats, can't possibly survive on that. Again, it's not that I don't have skills. I have tons, plus a degree and 30 years work experience. It just comes down to a sucky economy because I keep hearing other people complaining about the same thing.
