Senior Ball/ Prom?
« on: April 15, 2013, 05:40:03 pm »

I don't want to go this year because most of my friends aren't going anymore.
And the point of me going this year was because I had convinced them to go
at the beginning of the year this year, but they ended up flaking. xD

I'm fine with that, because I didn't really want to go this year because I had
gone last year, but..

xD there's still a few others who want me to go. xD

And I'm trying to save money for my senior trip..
So i'm not sure..

You do what you want, but remember you will have only one senior prom in your life.  I went to mine and loved it and am so glad I went.  I would seriously think about going, if your friends don't want to go, that's their choice, it doesn't have to be yours!

If you think it'll be something that you'll regret later on then go ahead and good. If you're friends don't want to and you do that's ok :)

Think of Senior year like:
-its the last year to have fun with your friends before they go off to college or wherever they might go.
-last year to redeem yourself and set yourself up the best you can for where you want to go next (college, travel the world..)
Senior year and graduation is like a celebration for doing well in school. (for those who are graduating) so I would do as much as you can. I will say that looking back, prom was so hyped up and by the time you get to college youll be over it. lol
But for me it was worth the money. My school put a lot of effort into making it special for us. We went on a cruise through the San Francisco Bay with a dinner floor, dance floor and poker floor and it was all beautiful. Now 3 years later when I look at the picture I still smile.
But yeah, youve just got to weigh out whats important to you. Make it about who you are spending the time with, not the event. But hey, a lot of people go solo so maybe youll meet someone new..?
have fun!
