Contractions
« on: April 14, 2013, 12:43:33 pm »
Omg I'm 38 weeks pregnant and I have a c-section scheduled in 4 days but since yesterday I've had what I assume to be the most terrible contractions!!!! They are not consistent, I could have another one within 2 minutes and then I won't have any more for like an hour but when I do have them they're unbearable and trying to sleep is the worst. I wonder if I'll make it to Thursday and how i'm gonna go through 2 more days of work  :angry7:

If you are scheduled for a c-section and you start labor before the surgery, just go down to the hospital.  They will call the doctor and do the c-section earlier.  It has happened to me, too.  :D

I think if you are in labor the contractions will not stop .you are probably feeling the very beginning .with my first baby I felt something at noon and by 8pm or 8 hours later I knew it was time. best of luck to you and baby.

Have they stopped?  Or are you in the hospital with a bundle of joy, and therefore cannot read this anyway?  Keep us posted!

I started spotting at midnight on December 5, 1985.  My contractions were not really consistent.  I went to the hospital and was only dilated 2 centimeters.  They decided to keep me because, with each contraction, my baby's heart rate dropped.  I was induced, an internal monitor was placed inside me and the party was on.  At 9:43 pm, a nurse came in, saw my baby's hair and instructed me not to push.  I felt pressure down there and pushed.  She came out from her head to her waist and they pulled the rest out of me.  She was delivered at 9:45 pm.   I named her Rosa Elizabeth. :angel11:

I would call your doctor and go to the hospital. The last thing you want is to actually go into labor when you have a planned c section. That happened to my friend.  Good Luck and Congrats on your soon to be beautiful baby!!
