Why vaseline is my favorite eye cream therapy?

Ever since my skin has become super sensitive and very dry, I decided to see my doctor and I was told I have eczema. Who would of thought at this age I would have this under my eyes. This was going on for about a month, on and off. So now, my favorite solution is the vaseline %100 pure petroleum jelly. So far so good. If my skin itches I use a topical cream my doctor told me to use which is Benadryl. Also, vaseline is good for fine line and wrinkles too. So I have the best of both worlds.

Yes it is, but it is great stuff and it doesn't burn your skin, it soothes it, which it feels nice.

The girls used to make fun of me for using vaseline for those under the eye wrinkles when I was in my 20's. I also liked the way it removed mascara. It works great, but I stopped using it for some reason. I used to wear contacts and it would get on the lenses and made it hard to clean off. Now I don't wear them anymore because of dry eye. I guess I should go back to using the vaseline treatment. You are smart for finding an old remedy. Thanks for hte reminder!

Vaseline Jelly is a stable in every Jamaican home they use for hair for skin for babies diaper rashes. There is not a home without a jar in the good old days.

   I personally wouldn't use any grease around my eyes. Have you tried any eye drops? Murine, Visine, ClearEyes or any other brand name.

I use olive oil to keep my skin less wrinkly

Vaseline works well but I like Olive oil a little better, it is very good for my type of skin (mostly dry). It works well with scars and I also use it on my hair! I also like coco butter! but when I don't have those I always go back to good ole vaseline!

A friend of mine skin well her face always looked beautiful so I asked her what do you use on your face and she said vaseline I was so surprised but my mom used vaseline to take her eye make up off so thanks for the info.

I knew someone a long time ago who used Vaseline petroleum jelly as a lip balm. Never asked them why. Didn't really know this about the stuff. Thanks for sharing! I think I'm going to see about giving it a try for myself.

Once in awhile I get like a rash on my face and it itches really bad. I would feel the dryness and it's very uncomfortable. I get vitamin E oil and put on my face and it helps me. I have never tried vaseline and you know someone told me about it. I should give it a try too. Thanks for your input.

Sounds a little messy but might be well worth a try.
