mumbling out loud
« on: April 06, 2013, 06:30:30 am »
A man was mumbling out loud saying  "this is too much work."
About three weeks later, he found another job and  quit the one he was mumbling about.

Are you trying to make a joke or are you saying those who mumble have better things come to them eventually?

Oookaaaay, LOL...

He took action and it paid off. Well, good for him...The motto is, "Don't just talk about it, be about it". I guess that's the point of this post. LOL...

I'm afraid I don't understand what your point is here.  Was this someone you know?

I don't know what the point is either but is does bring me something to branch off of.  The other day my husband and I were at our local convenience store.  I'm talking Mom and Pop old fashioned gas station here.  There are only 2 registers and both had lines. My husband says, "I gotta get back to work."  The woman in front of us said, "you can go ahead of us we don't have to get anywhere soon."  He says, "oh no that's okay."  While walking back home he says embarrassed, "I didn't mean for anyone to hear me."  okay I guess there was no point in my story either.

All this mumbling reminds me of one of my most embarrassing moments. I was just about to leave my office for lunch when my assistant hollered in from her desk that "unnamed" was on the line for me. I grumbled - Darn, if only I would've been out of here 2 minutes earlier- .  So I picked up the phone and the first thing he said was:  You should teach your assistant how to use the Hold button...!!!   :BangHead:  :-[
